AMIGURUMI DESIGN CONTEST

I love to crochet garments, accessories and other things but believe me: nothing makes more fun than crocheting amigurumis. They are so incredibly cute!

I’m joining a funny amigurumi design contest by Amigurumipatterns.net since a few years now and because there are so much more to tell you about this event I decided to write a blog post.

This amigurumi design contest started in 2013 with the theme “Amigurumi Animals at Work”.

Some winners of the contest will not only receive a lot of prizes like hooks, yarn, etc. but also be part of an amigurumi book published each year with a different theme.

The rules to join the contest are very simple. You must design and crochet an amigurumi that should be consistent with the year’s theme and it should be an original work. Finally, you should have 1-3 pics to submit and that’s it! What I really love is that submission is absolutely FREE and you can submit as many designs as you want, too – addiction guaranteed!

After the voting time, the 3 winners will be announced.

There are seriously so many amazing designs from creative and very talented amigurumists all over the world – I love to participate in this contest!

2016 theme was “Monsters”, scary, cute and adorable monsters. And for that I designed my very first monster amigurumi – Scary Heart.
